Thank you for supporting Isle Listen. As a charitable initiative, we rely on donations to deliver our important Mental Health Education Programme in schools. This programme brings interactive, age-appropriate sessions into primary and secondary schools Island-wide, tackling the serious topic of mental health in an accessible yet engaging way, giving children and young people the tools they need to look after their wellbeing.
This programme sparks conversations, builds confidence and helps students recognise that looking after their mind is just as important as looking after their body. All activities are grounded in evidence-based, psychological good practice, with content reviewed by our clinical team.
We know that our work in schools is key and is already having an impact. While in the long term we want this preventative work to reduce the number of young people needing further support, we know that unfortunately there will always be young people who require specialist services. Young people accessing therapeutic support from the Talk service (talk.islelisten.im) are increasingly presenting with greater emotional literacy and understanding of when to seek support. These young people also have a solid foundation in coping mechanisms sometimes explored in therapy, often enabling a more productive and positive therapeutic experience.
With your support, we can continue this programme which reaches just over 10,000 young people each year. Your support makes a difference to the lives of many, and we can’t do it without you. Thank you again for your donation. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about our services or supporting our charity further.
